The Test your print package “Tensile strength 5 specimens” includes the testing of 5 specimens and the creation of a test report. The STL file for the printing of the tensile test specimens is available under Downloads. There you will also find a test report as a sample.
Tensile strength explained
The tensile strength is a value how much I can pull on the material. 1 MPa corresponds to 1 N/mm² (Force per surface). 1 kg corresponds to 9,81N. The tensile strength specimen has a cross sectional area of 40mm². In other words, a tensile strength for example of 50 MPa means, that a tensile specimen with a cross-section of 40mm² will break at a tensile load of 203,9 kg.
How it works
1.) Order the desired test package in the shop and download the test specimens.
2.) Print the test specimens with your settings – we offer the testing of three or five test specimens per test.
3.) Send us your test specimens. To protect your specimens from moisture, please send it vacuum packed or in a plastic bag. Fill out the test information sheet with your information.
4.) We will test your samples and send you the detailed test report. Sample reports can be found under Downloads.
5.) Now you know how good your settings are. Compare your values with others and compare the printer settings to optimize your printing process.
